Salma Souktani is a self-taught painter. Inspired by abstraction and American modernism, she creates works where colors and textures interact to express the richness of landscapes and the emotional subtlety of the cultures she has encountered. Having lived on three continents and speaking six languages, Salma draws on her multicultural experiences to enrich her artistic practice.

In her small-format paintings, she seeks to establish an intimate relationship between the viewer and the work being contemplated. Her vibrant palette, refined textures, and subtle details reflect a constant search for depth and reflection.
